The purpose of our trip was to reunite with my husbands family, to celebrate his parent's 45 year anniversary. What can I say? it was a very emotional week, because we hadn't been all together for a very long time: some of them we hadn't seen for 5 years and others for 9! Children have grown, mine for one are in their late teens, some are new to the family, so it really was a time for reconnecting, rediscovering, reuniting, sharing, laughing and a lot of hugging...
The first part of the week was spent in a big house in Long Island-NY. West Hamptons (the poor not the rich side)... we had 8 rooms, 3 bathrooms, a pool and a tennis court!... I loved that it was big enough so we could spread out and not feel claustrophobic, after all we were 19 people!
My favourite part: the beach!... as well as spending time with the little ones. My nephews and nieces made my days very special!
